Presentation for the A.U. Law College Assembly Respected teachers and dear students, On this solemn death anniversary, we gather to remember an immortal name in India's freedom saga-Sarojini Naidu, the Nightingale of India.
A poet who filled her melodious songs with patriotism, A noble soul who infused her words with human compassion; With poetry as her weapon and courage as her shield, She stood fearless in the arena of the freedom struggle.
To womanhood, she was a living flame; To the cause of equal rights, she was an early voice of awakening. For justice, equality, and liberty, She turned her voice into a clarion call of resistance.
As law students today, what we must understand is this-Her life itself is a book of law; Righteousness its fundamental principle, Service its highest duty.
The steps we take upon the platforms of justice Must be guided by integrity, as her life teaches; She reminds us of the value of freedom, The dignity of equality, And unwavering commitment to human rights.
On this day of remembrance, let us pledge-To keep the lamp of justice ever burning, To walk the path of equality, To choose service as the purpose of our lives.
May the spirit of the Nightingale of India, Sarojini Naidu, Resound forever within the precincts of A.U. Law College.
